Union Hill Animal Hospital (UHAH) is an independent, locally owned private hospital in the heart of vibrant Midtown Kansas City. We currently have 4 full-time DVMs and an expanding team of talented RVTs, experienced assistants & CSRs. We offer flexible scheduling, one-on-one DVM mentoring, along with exposure to a productive and efficient general practice with state-of-the-art equipment. Requirements
TRAINING PHASES FOR PRECEPTORS/EXTERNS:
1. Shadow & Learn (First 2 Days)
- Observe experienced doctors in surgery & appointments.
- Get familiar with the practice flow and meet our amazing team.
2. Coached Cases (Second Phase)
- Perform physical exams under supervision.
- Discuss findings, diagnostics, and treatment recommendations with your mentor.
- Gain experience handling real-world client communication and financial considerations. Follow cases through to recheck and outcome evaluation.
3. Independent Practice (Final Phase)
- Build confidence in managing cases with continued support.
- Participate in spays/neuters and work with our rescue partners, if applicable.
