What we are looking for:
Silver Bluff Animal Clinic – Full-Time Associate Veterinarian role
Silver Bluff Animal Clinic is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to contribute to our long-standing, independently owned, multi-doctor animal clinic located in Miami, Florida.
About us:
Silver Bluff Animal Clinic has served the pets and families of the Coconut Grove and South Miami community for more than thirty years. Founded in 1996, we are a privately owned, independent general practice — and we intend to remain one. As corporate ownership reshapes veterinary medicine, we have chosen a different path: to stand as a beacon of independent practice, demonstrating that world-class medicine and deeply personal relationships are not only compatible — they are inseparable.
Our practice is surrounded by nature and the simple comforts that put people at ease. We believe veterinary medicine is not only about treating disease — it is about fostering trust, comfort, and genuine human connection. Every recommendation we make is honest, evidence-based, and free from fear, pressure, or coercion. Our clients receive fair pricing, clear communication, and the confidence that every decision is made solely in the best interest of their pet.
Our Practice is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The Role:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations for wellness, preventive care, sick visits, and rechecks — approaching each case with the whole patient and whole family in mind.
- Diagnose illness and injury through careful clinical reasoning and evidence-based medicine; develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients.
- Perform routine and advanced soft-tissue surgery, elective procedures, and dentistry including scaling, polishing, and surgical extractions.
- Order, perform, and interpret in-house diagnostics including complete blood counts, chemistry panels, SNAP tests, urinalysis, and digital radiography.
- Coordinate with external reference laboratories for advanced diagnostics, pathology, and specialty consultations.
- Prescribe, dispense, and administer medications, injections, and in-clinic treatments in compliance with Florida law and practice protocols.
- Provide compassionate end-of-life guidance and euthanasia services with dignity and sensitivity.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely medical records in the practice's electronic medical record system.
- Build lasting relationships with clients and patients that reflect the Silver Bluff commitment to personal, trust-based medicine.
- Represent the practice's philosophy of transparency and fairness in every client interaction.
Benefits:
- 30+ years of community trust and reputation — a practice clients already love
- $120,000-160,000 base salary plus production, depending on experience.
- Modern equipment and resources
- Health Insurance
- 401K retirement plan
- Generous PTO and Paid Parental Leave
- Access to mentorship and Continuing Education
- A flexible schedule and a balanced weekend rotation.
- An independent practice that is free from corporate mandates, production pressure, and algorithmic medicine
- A warm, nature-surrounded clinic environment that feels like a home — for staff and clients alike
- A leadership voice — your ideas, your protocols, your contributions will shape this practice
