High Country Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned small-animal practice proudly serving pets and their families in Southern Colorado Springs and the surrounding communities. We are seeking a passionate Associate Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. We are looking for someone who wants to build meaningful relationships with clients, provide quality care to patients, and grow alongside a dedicated veterinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing comprehensive physical examinations and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Diagnosing and managing a variety of companion-animal medical conditions.
- Performing routine surgical and dental procedures, as appropriate to your experience.
- Utilizing appropriate diagnostics, including laboratory testing and imaging, to support patient care.
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Collaborating with our veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and a positive client experience.
- Following and contributing to clinical protocols and hospital standards.
- Participating in ongoing learning and professional development.
- Providing occasional extended or flexible hours when needed to support hospital operations and patient care.

Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted Colorado veterinary license, or eligibility for licensure.
- Clinical proficiency in companion-animal medicine, including examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and medical and surgical case management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient and client care.
- A commitment to continued professional growth.
- Interest or experience in exotic and wildlife medicine is highly desirable, but not required.
