About this role

NOW OFFERING $30,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

West Jordan Veterinary Hospital is seeking a motivated, compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our wellestablished, multidoctor practice in the Salt Lake City metro area. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced DVMs and new graduates who are looking for strong mentorship, diverse case exposure, and a genuinely supportive team environment.

About Our Hospital

West Jordan Veterinary Hospital has been a trusted part of the community for decades and is known for practicing highquality medicine with a collaborative, downtoearth culture. We are especially well regarded for our exotics medicine, offering the opportunity to see and work with a wide variety of nontraditional companion animals in addition to small animal patients.

Our medical team is led by Kevin Nemelka, DVM, MDVM, who is passionate about mentorship, teaching, and helping doctors build confidence and autonomy at their own pace. We pride ourselves on being a hospital where doctors are supported, heard, and encouraged to develop their individual interests.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide highquality medical and surgical care to small animal patients, with opportunities to work with exotic species
  • Build strong client relationships through clear communication and compassionate care
  • Collaborate with an experienced team of doctors, technicians, and support staff
  • Practice medicine in a way that aligns with your interests and professional goals
  • Participate in mentorship and knowledgesharing within the team

Who We’re Looking For

  • DVM or equivalent, licensed (or eligible) to practice in Utah
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply — structured mentorship is available
  • Experienced veterinarians looking for a collaborative, lowego team environment
  • Interest in exotics medicine is a plus, but not required
  • A teamoriented mindset and commitment to excellent patient care

Mentorship & Support

We take mentorship seriously and tailor it to the individual doctor. New graduates receive handson guidance, case support, and a welcoming environment where questions are encouraged. Experienced doctors enjoy autonomy while still having access to collaboration and shared knowledge.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with production
  • $30,000 signon bonus and relocation assistance available
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid CE with dedicated CE time
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Supportive scheduling with a focus on worklife balance
