Georgetown Animal Clinic, PC is a privately owned, AAHA accredited small animal practice that has been serving our community since 1970. We provide a friendly working environment with an emphasis on a home/work balance allowing our team members to live life to the fullest. Established over 55 years ago we are known in the community for our high quality of general medicine and friendly staff that have been with us for years.
As a privately owned practice we emphasize good medicine, bonding with clients/patients and enjoying what we do. We do not have production meetings or worry about average transaction fees. Our veterinarians work collaboratively to come up with best treatment protocols for difficult cases and to make sure our patients are treated like we would want our own pets treated.
Our 30-minute time slots allow for thorough, low stress and complete appointments. We reserve “emergency” spots everyday in the schedule and fill them by level of urgency. We find this to help alleviate the overwhelming feeling that is common in our profession.
Our team consists of 4 veterinarians, 7 licensed veterinary technicians, 4 veterinary assistants, and 4 front desk representatives, allowing you to work with a support staff ratio of 1:5. They are all bright, hardworking, and fun to work with.
We educate our clients on the many options available to keep their pets healthy and happy. Our wellness plans allow for yearly testing, helping extend the quality of life. We are in an affluent neighborhood, which allows us to do more thorough and rewarding work ups.
The position is for a full time associate, but part time applications will be reviewed. The full time position is for four days per week with no evening, weekend or emergency hours. Hours are 8:00 am until 5:30 pm with an hour scheduled break mid-day. Pay is competitive and negotiable.
The practice is located outside of Buffalo, NY. While known for it's snow, Buffalo has many benefits of a large city without the traffic, long commutes or crime. Buffalo has been described as having a "midwestern" feel in that even strangers on the street are usually friendly and helpful. There are local ski areas, a vibrant theater community and wonderful restaurants throughout Western New York. Of course we also have our professional sports teams including Football, Hockey and Lacrosse.
